Another Chantal Meet-up.
And there's how many of us? 21?!!

Happy birthday Gail!

Here's Chantal; she plopped herself down on the edge of the stage and sung 'Far Away' - no amp, no mic - the Hall was completely silent, just her sweet voice.

Chantal & Raine Meet-up!

The 'before' meet-up.
L-R: Mike, Anj, Paolo, Sandy, Russell, Christine, Deb, Terence, Kathy, Nikki & Sab.

It was great seeing Kathy, Sandy, Russell & Terence again - lovely meeting Anj, Nikki, Sab, Paolo & Christine for the first time, as well as Angela, Mark, Mike and Michelle, who aren't pictured... (but doesn't mean I don't have pictures of you during the 'after' meet-up, just not ones that I can PUBLISH haha!). Must do this again SOON!

The lovely CK. She put on a stellar performance at the Living Arts Centre last night.

Highlight: she asked if the people sitting down front would like to come and sit off to the side on stage! She could only see the tops of their heads, which meant that they probably couldn't see her over the piano. Jimmy pulled out some chairs for them too! Saweeeeet!

Fun fun night. A grand piano sized hug to everyone.

P.S. Hey CK, Rowan is soooooo cute by the way. x.

If you look in the dictionary, under 'class act', you'll find this lady's picture. Chantal Kreviazuk.

She held her CD launch party Tuesday night in a secluded castle in Toronto - a fitting atmosphere, eerily reflecting her new release, Ghost Stories. Ghost Stories is hauntingly beautiful; it displays her strongest suits: her vocals and her piano ability, both of which remain the core throughout the entire album. She is a virtuoso at composing catchy pop melodies like 'Wonderful' and 'All I Can Do'; but this time around with Ghost Stories, she also delves into more serious and passionate issues that echo her activism, songs like 'Asylum' and 'Wendy House' - a sign of an older and wiser Chantal. Ghost Stories is filled with expressive vocals, dynamic piano styles and rich orchestral strings. A solid delivery, and worth the four-year wait since her last album.

Elements (L-R): MOI, Russell, Kathy, Sandy & Terence. A pleasure to meet everyone!

Chantal on a Yamaha Baby Grand.

At the end, she kicked off her dangerously high, silver heels and rocked out (as much as one can when attached to a Baby Grand). Sadly I didn't have a good enough vantage point to get any pictures of the bassist or the plexi-glass encased drummer, but did get a shot of her amazing string section.

<-- And, I managed to snag a setlist to boot! What a magical night! xo.
