An excellent way to kick off December
(my birthday month *hint hint*).

We arrived just as The Black Hat Brigade went on stage. Brampton boys, good tunes, but both singers MUMBLE when they talk so that I had to go up to one of them afterwards to ask what their name was. Oh alright, I'll chalk it up to the sound tech's fault.

Snowden. Wow.
A four-piece from Atlanta, Georgia. I had heard some buzz about them before the show, but hadn't expected them to be so... commanding on stage. Jordan (singer/guitarist) & Corinne (bassist) were just stellar - look at 'em go!

Highly recommend their new CD: Anti-Anti. Don't be deceived by Jordan's melancholy vocals - there's decisiveness and substance in the undertones. Like Bullets, Anti-Anti, Between The Rent And Me and Stop Your Bleeding are some of my favourites.

¡Forward Russia! - how fitting that they use exclamation marks in their name.
The four hail from Leeds (West Yorkshire, England): Tom (singer), Rob (bassist), Whiskas (guitar) & Katie (drums).

Pure energy... especially Tom.
He's a little capacitor, all wound-up (and not just with the microphone cord either - something he likes to do).

Special thanks to Rob for giving me his setlist. x.
